Queen's Platinum Jubilee 2022

The Hendreds Beacon was a real villages get together. Truthfully it was wonderful, looking north over Oxfordshire as the sun went down and ten other beacons appeared in the far distance.

On 4th June,  the West Hendred & Ginge Village Hall hosted a lunch of Coronation Chicken and Brownies for some 130 villagers, with those who couldn’t be accommodated picnicking in the adjacent playpark. The rain cleared and the sun came out bang on time just after noon and a jolly time was had by all, as we ate, drank and made merry, including toasting Her Majesty.
